Peggy Albertson

Communications Specialist

Peggy serves as the ACA Communications Specialist for the Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Branch, N.C. Division of Public Health. In this role she will work with the Appalachian community and Pitt county to help facilitate their media placements, marketing and public relations related to the Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) grants. Peggy also serves as a member on the internal communications branch for the Physical Activity and Nutrition Branch, and as an internal resource for Eat Smart, Move More North Carolina.

Prior to joining the PAN Branch, Peggy worked at several local advertising, marketing and public relations agencies honing her writing, placement and media skills. There she was charged with managing accounts on a day to day basis as well as developing new business for the companies.

Peggy earned her Artium Baccalaureatus Journalism degree in Public Relations, and her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Georgia.

Peggy enjoys working on her home, playing and running with her dog Milly and spending time outdoors, especially on the water.
