Tara White serves as the Operations Administrative Support for the Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Branch, N.C. Division of Public Health. In this role she provides administrative and program assistance to the Operations Manager including reconciliation of PAN Branch invoices, monitoring invoice payments, maintaining and updating the budget and operating procedures manual and coordinating PAN Branch contracts. Tara also provides support to the Branch Head in the development and/or revision of curriculum and programs for state and local governmental agencies, partners, schools and community organizations. Tara serves as the liaison to web master for the PAN Branch website and attends trainings/workshops related to administrative policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the PAN branch Tara worked as the Procurement Analyst for SpectraSite Communications, Technical Editor for ARCADIS G&M and Office Automation Assistant within the United States Department of Agriculture.
Tara holds a BS degree in Business Education from the East Carolina University. She has a daughter named Ameerah and a poodle named Sassy. She is originally from New Jersey and moved to North Carolina in 1997 with her family to go to college.
